Human BEings of Yoga Nundah - Meet Ange

Angela (Ange) and I have a funny story of our first meeting. As strangers, we were both enjoying a delicious local Thai meal with our respective partners at tables not far from each other. I was wearing my Yoga Nundah T-shirt. Later that week, I received an email from her, saying that she’d seen me sitting at the table next to her and that she’d like to enquire about trying a class. We went back and forth via email over a couple of weeks before Ange joined us in person. We found an instant connection and too many weird things in common including our neurodiversity! I’m so grateful that I was wearing that T-shirt that night.

Like many who join us at Yoga Nundah, Ange has been practicing yoga intermittently over the years. And also like many in our community (and in the general population) she feels she is not ‘naturally flexible’ however Ange knows that she needs yoga for her physical health and supports her newfound strength training routine. Living with ADHD, Ange has found that a regular practice of either gentle mindful yoga or mindful yin yoga supports her emotional and mental health too. Ange is super down to earth, and warm, and fits in perfectly with our little yoga community, here, in the north side of Brisbane.
